Haha omg I nearly forgot to talk about the art??? That's not like me. xD

Won this fantastic chap by scouring the hills for pawprints! I NEVER WIN THINGS, WHAT :'D From no Snjorrirs to a howl mancer is not a terrible leap. I got quite far through this ref when my creative brain decided to pack up and go home, so it sort of floundered around for ages - though I managed to write about the adorable old grump in the interim - before I finished it today. C: Going for a sort of moorland feel, channelling dartmoor or something, and experimenting with Skies That Are Not Sky Coloured. xDD I felt like doing his mane and tail in my twisty wavy style, too, which was fun if effort-y to revisit.

Lighting is cop-out, I'm afraid, because I was keeping it flat-coloured for reference. |D

Info: Kr'venya is a horse with years of experience, a veteran of battles uncounted, and expects to be treated as such. He tends to grumpiness and posturing, and baring his slightly chipped fangs, but although he makes for an intimidating opponent he rarely resorts to actual violence off the battlefield - he seems to have aged out of this. The exception to this rule is around his moon phase, when he becomes restless and irritable, but thankfully for all concerned he has developed a habit of galloping off up the valley and spending a few days in the hills, moors and forest around this time.

Kr'venya was Horsepoint's first Snjorrir. It could be said that a howl mancer would not exactly make the ideal introductory specimen, but he has caused less trouble than expected thus far. This is suspected to be partly due to Sondur, the foal that arrived some weeks after, who seems to have taken Kr'venya on as a surrogate father - without Kr'venya seeming to have much say in the matter. Certainly the mancer seemed thoroughly miserable when he arrived, and though he has not yet crossed the line into "cheerful", his mood seems to have distinctly, if grudgingly, improved.

He currently will not tolerate a noseband, and it is pretty clear that the scar crossing his nose - the only one visible, though many others are hidden under his thick coat - is an indicator of why.
